Entering the holidays signifies a season of resting, regrouping, and being with the ones you love. It’s a time to give. As 2020 comes to a close, giving back to the community has continued to be a priority for Shop BuzzFeed. We are proud to announce that for the month of December we will be donating 10% of the store’s profits to Canines for Disabled Kids.
Founded in 1998, Canines for Disabled Kids advocates for the increased independence of children with disabilities and their loved ones through the use of service dogs. The CDK serves as a wealth of knowledge for families looking into service dogs as an avenue of support for their children. Among other offerings, the nonprofit provides scholarships to assist with costs associated with service dogs, education on the process, and offers volunteer opportunities for those interested in lending a hand to the Worcester, MA based team. Their site features an inspiring digital gallery of children who have benefited from their relationship with a service dog. Over thirty years later, Canines for Disabled Kids continues to promote the practical and inherent intrinsic benefits of the pairing.
We are honored and excited to support Canines for Disabled Kids and hope you join us in this effort through your purchase from any Shop BuzzFeed collection for the month of December. Thank you to Canines for Disabled Kids for all you do and for allowing us to give back to children this holiday season through a worthy cause If you would like to learn more or donate directly to Canines for Disabled Kids, please click here. Each month, our Giving Back Initiative strives to give back to those who have provided positive contributions to society, to those who fight to provide healing opportunities to those who experience inequity each day and to those who work tirelessly to put food in the hands of those who need it. For these champions, Shop BuzzFeed is honored to announce that we will be donating 10% of the stores’ profits each month to a different charitable organization that shares our commitment.
