This is a cloth mask with elastic ear straps. A simple cloth face covering can slow the spread of the virus and help prevent those who have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others. The mask is not intended to act as a medical device or other medical product, and should not be used as a replacement for conventional and approved personal protective equipment, including surgical masks or respirators.

The CDC recommends wearing such coverings where other social distancing measures might be difficult to maintain (e.g., Grocery stores and pharmacies), and especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. This additional safety measure helps protect others in case you have coronavirus, but don't show any symptoms. A face mask can also help reduce contact between hands and face, which is one of the most common ways to transmit a virus.
